Ró-Ró ─ also known as Pedro Miguel ─ is a right back, right wing back and centre back. His career began in 2009 in his native country Portugal, where he played for Farense and Aljustrelense. He transferred to Qatar at Al-Ahli in 2011. He joined Al-Sadd in 2016 and the same year he was naturalized Qatari. He played 155 matches for Al-Sadd so far, scoring 7 goals. He gained 76 caps for Qatar so far, scoring once and winning the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
Ró-Ró is a good and fighting defender, whose task is mostly stopping the opposing forwards, which he does with timing of anticipation as well as strong and fierce but usually fair tackles. He's gifted with decent ball control and very good speed especially on long distance that allows him to make occasional runs forward or reach an opponent that previously dribbled him. His ball distribution is decent, mainly made of short passes to set up the action and less frequently cut back passes when he sporadically reaches the end of the field.
