Hamam is a right back. He spent the majority of his career at Nejmeh, where he played from 2007 to 2014, winning two Lebanese Premier League and several national cups, before coming back in 2018. He played also for Al Ahli Saida in 2006-07 and Iranian club Zob Ahan from 2014 to 2018, becoming the first ever Lebanese player to join the Iranian league. He gained 56 caps for Lebanon, scoring 3 goals.
Considered as a brilliant right back in his country, Hamam is equally effective in the back thanks to his solid defensive abilities and forward thanks to his offensive qualities. In the defence he fights on the ball, can anticipate his opponent on the ground or in the air, stop him with good sliding tackles, mark him well after closing quickly the space. In the attack he shows good speed, fine passing ability and decent dribbling skills even though his ball control is often not good. Capable of adding experience to the national team since he was young, he was made captain of the squad in the early 2010s.
