Kucka is a versatile player who can play as central, defensive or attacking midfielder. He spent most of his career at Genoa, playing 127 matches and scoring 11 goals from 2011 to 2015. He played also for Sparta Praha, Milan, Trabzonspor and Parma. He gained 72 caps for Slovakia, scoring 9 times.
Kucka is gifted with a strong physique, thanks to which he imposes himself. He can recover balls and rapidly start the action with the ball on his feet. However his strength makes him also a tough tackler who easily receives cards. He is very good with both feet, has good technique and is an excellent header. Gifted with a powerful shot, whenever he has the chance, he tries to score from the distance.
