*I had some problems to point out the right positions because the players switched a lot the positions
in the game , for example Jürgen Milewski seemed to play LCF in some situations.

In the mid-1970s, HSV began a brilliant run that saw them capture numerous honours. In 1976 they won the DFB-Pokal and followed up the next year with a Cup Winners' Cup. They took their first Bundesliga championship in 1979, fell just two points short behind Bayern Munich in 1980, and then won consecutive championships in 1982 and 1983, led by national star Felix Magath. In 1983 they won the European Cup with a 1–0 win over Juventus, followed by another German Cup in 1987.

1979/80 - 2° in Bundesliga. finalista in Coppa dei Campioni perde 1 a 0 contro il Nottingham Forest.
1980/81 - 2° in Bundesliga. Coppa UEFA Eliminato dal Saint-Etienne agli ottavi.
1981/82 - Campione di Germania (5º titolo). finalista in Coppa UEFA perde 1-0 e 3-0 contro il Goteborg.
1982/83 - Campione di Germania (6° titolo). Vince la Coppa dei Campioni (1º titolo)
