Eddie Turnbull never played for Aberdeen. He's been their coach from 1965 to 1971 but he played his entire career for Hibernian. He may be replaced with Mark McGhee who scored a lot of goals, played for Scotland and won Europan Cup Winners' Cup and European Super Cup. |

Zoltán Varga can be added to reserves, he is still widely considered the most talented player to ever play for Aberdeen, even if he was only there for one season. |

With Kennedy and McKimmie already in the team, I don't think Boel is needed here as a 3rd right back. I think he should be replaced with Andrew Considine who has played over 550 games for Aberdeen now (he's been at the club for 23 years), and can be both backup LB behind Shewan and 4th CB behind Miller, McLeish and Buchan. Also he's been super consistent for his entire career at the club, finished 2nd in the league 4 times and won the League Cup. I'd also choose Joe Harper for starting XI over Hewitt, Harper was a better player and is also the club's top scorer. Hewitt scored lots of important goals but he actually wasn't even a regular starter for most of his career, 108 of his 255 appearances were as a substitute. |
