Christian BREUER Fritz NEUßL Some aspects regarding this team: 1) Fritz Neußl was Austrian, not German. 2) Hubert CLUTE-SIMON was attacking midfielder, not a defender. 3) Marius Ebbers was CF, not a midfielder. 4) Helmut SCHIFFER should be added to the GK's. He was one of the best GKs in Oberliga West at that time (even voted best GK of Oberliga West in 1958) and could replace Wolfgang Dramsch who was solid keeper too but not on the level of Schiffer (also played less matches for Aachen). 5) Walter GOFFART could be added to the midfielders in the reserves section. He played many years for Aachen and together with Reinhold Münzenberg he formed one of the best duos in the club history (both in midfield and defence). You can change it or not, I just wanted to give my thoughts here.. |

After doing some more research, I have some additional suggestions: 1) Erwin Hoffmann must be part of this team. He was the strategist of Aachen midfield during the 1960s and should be in first team instead of Karlheinz Pflipsen. Pflipsen's peak was at Gladbach (although he never fulfilled his potential), at Aachen he wasn't that good anymore and also not so important as Hoffmann was for the team. 2) Rolf Pawellek should be added to the defenders section in the reserves. 3) Horacio Troche should be in first team instead of Klitzpera. Although he only played one season for Aachen, we should consider that Troche was far above the level of Klitzpera (the best defender alongside Zebec and Münzenberg) and therefore should be part of the first team ![]() |

23 players isn't enough, at least at club level, so I suggest you to also think in some others names since i'm gonna "expand" the format of the All-Stars Clubs to 30 players (at least of the most historical ones)...But let's begin with this one ![]() |

JeanMarc wrote: Updated... I think those teams should remain as they are. Even 23 players are too much, let alone 32... +1, Although I would say that 23 are perfect.. For example when I look at Aachen, who didn't have so many great players, it would IMO be a mistake to add 9 other players. They are All Star teams and the first team should somehow remain "exclusive" ![]() |

I said that mainly for the big teams (RM, Juve) who are clubs with a rich history and just 23 players instead of 30 not 32 in these kind of teams is harsh, look for example Real Madrid, players like Sergio Ramos, Francisco Buyo and Juanito, players who A: They had spent much of his career at the club winning trophies, etc and B: They are respected and "loved" by the Madridistas (especially Juanito) and they are left out because the others players also have done it alot for the club (Cristiano Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Di Stefano, Santamaria, etc..) So having given my points here i hope you guys understand why i express this idea |
