I'd put Ciriaco in the first team and even in first 11.

I put him in the first team in a 5-men defense.
The line-up is now more similar to the one of the 2001 UEFA Cup final.

Definitely I'll put Desio as main captain here over Óscar Téllez; at the time of their best era, Téllez was at best 5th choice behind Karmona, Pablo/Azkoitia and Desio.

Don't worry, I'll make the same formation here with the © on Desio, just keep what your are doing at this moment. :^]

Edit: Surprised to see that Tomić is not here, he made a solid campaign in 2001 (solid for the standards of Alavés)

Don't understand why Senor is in first team and especially in best XI. No doubt that he was great player but he only played three years for Alaves (and all of them in second division) and his peak came at Zaragoza. Cruyff also played just three years but was better player and more important/iconic for them and could replace him IMO. Manu Garcia can also take his place in first team if you ask me. Víctor Laguardia should be in reserves.
Edit: Pacheco also stands above Berasaluce now IMO.

Yeah, I even consider Pacheco to be better than Herrera.
