I know that Lincoln Philipps is credited by some as the best Trinidad GK but IMO it's not even a question that Shaka Hislop was both better and also more important GK than him. Same goes for Dennis Lawrence who was a cornerstone of the NTs defence for almost a decade and was one of their key players when they qualifed for their first (and unfortunately so far only) WC in 2006. Of course Alf Jones made history as the first Trinidad player to play in first English league but after all this was just one game and it shouldn't be a criteria here.
Last but not least I'd also suggest to put Birchall in first team here (similar reasons as for Lawrence, I'd even say he was their best midfielder during the mid 2000s).
Edit: Maybe also Stern John instead of Steve David in best XI. No matter if we look at archievements, goals/matches or importance for NT in general, I don't see how David can be ranked higher, especially since Trinidad football certainly peaked from the late 90s to mid 2000s.

Samuel's NT career doesn't look that remarkable. Bateau could be a valid choice for the reserves. Who would you replace and why?

Wasn't Alf Charles an IF? I would replace him if that's the case. I don't know much about him.

He was versatile and with clubs he was used in many positions, including IF in case of emergency.
However, once he was used as FB with Trinidad and Tobago, he became a mainstay in that position.
