What about Lothar KOBLUHN? Bundesliga top scorer in 1971 as a midfielder and the main reason why Oberhausen could play four seasons in the Bundesliga. He could at least be part of the reserves here..

Formation is perfect, maybe swapping positions between Netzer and Overath would be far more realistic choice (Overath as the hardworking CMF/AMF and leaving Netzer to be the classic AMF.)

Only changes I’d make are Lewandowski and Müller in first team ahead of Hrubesch/Emmerich/Burgsmüller and Schweinsteiger ahead of Scholl or Häßler. Although IMO Neuer is better than both Maier and Kahn.
