Do you have anything against French Bundesliga players? Valerien Ismael, Anthony Modeste, Jonathan Schmid, Mathieu Delpierre and Benjamin Stambouli all had pretty decent career and should be considered here - also their PL counterparts Sylvain Distin and Noé Pamarot or Anthony Le Tallec. Francis Coquelin also deserves a shoutout here - not just because of his Arsenal stint but also because of his importancy for Villareal in the last years.

Distin was actually better than Cygan in my opinion, he was really good for a very long time, especially for Everton. He even has the most outfield appearances for any foreign player in England.

Francis Coquelin and Jonathan Schmid are active players. Do you think there's no chance they may cap in the future? Maybe even in a friendly game.
Matthieu Delpierre, Sylvain Distin, Anthony Modeste and Benjamin Stambouli are definitely valid choices. I added all of them.
I'm not sure if Valérien Ismaël, Anthony Le Tallec and Noé Paramot had such an outstanding career, at least not as much as the current listed players.

Pascal Cygan is the player that less convinced me in the first team but I wasn't sure who to add instead. Sylvain Distin is surely a better player that I initially missed.

I remember Blanchard for flopping at Juventus. He had a few solid seasons with Lens and his best time in Austria. Gourvennec had a couple solid seasons with Nantes. I'm not sure they're too worthy of a spot though.
