Many sportsmen were unfortunately killed in car crashes and other accidents, or were murdered, or died due to health problems on and off the pitch. We'll remember here on some famous footballers who died before their 45th birthday from this reasons. This are mainly separate cases, I didn't involve team tragedies like "Il Grande Torino" and "The Busby Babes". But of course, we'll remember all the other players who died tragically and who aren't on this list...

JeanMarc, you can take command over the thread if you want ;)
Btw, there are some German players who could be added to this team:
1) Otto Siffling, one of the best German strikers who died with only 27 years in 1939
2) Adolf Urban, legendary Schalke winger who died with 29 years in 1943.
3) Leonhard Seiderer who played for Greuther Fürth and also for the German NT, he died with 44 years in 1940.
All of them deserve their place here but I wanted to ask you first before I change your created team..

I didn't want to put here this thread because there are couple of hundreds players more who also need to be here, as I've discovered later on...


So starting this thread wasn't a good idea at all :? But I wasn't aware back than so many players were killed relatively young...


So do whatever you want with this thread. You can add new players but very soon you'll reach limit of the flags which the post can contain, and maybe the limit has even been reached already...
