What are Altafini and Schiaffino doing here? They were were World Champions playing for their home country, while they relatively did nothing for Italia.. Makes no sense to have them here just because they nationalized themselves while playing for Milan. Btw, i'd use a formation like this, with the same kick takers (just add Pirlo to Long Free Kick) ![]() (Or drop Gattuso for Evani and move him to the left, while Donadoni moves to the right) Altafini and Schiaffino should leave this squad for Virdis, Boffi, Simone or Ancelotti, and be added on the Foreigner squad (with Schiaffino as a starter, i think). |

What's the point of having Rosato as RB here? He was primarily a CB. And even more important: Mauro Tassotti was one of the best RBs in the world during his prime, winning several titles with Milan. I don't get how he can be omited here for a player who didn't even play on that position regularly.. Not even mentioning having both Gattuso and Ambrosini (what qualifies this guy for that team) in the first team while Ambrosini and Benetti are only in the reserves.. |

I've told you to put Donadoni on the right and Evani on the left. Rosato is there because simple because to further add defensive solidity to a team who has a relatively "weak" defensive midfield with Albertini and Pirlo as DMFs, though now that i'm seeing, Cesare Maldini can be up there over Rosato. |

We're speaking about Tassotti, not about an offensive-minded SB like Maldera (IMO a candidate for first team) or Serginho. Another suggestion: Replace Virdis with Santagostino. Santagostino scored more goals for Milan, despite playing in a much weaker Milan side than Virdis did. He even turned down several offers from "bigger" clubs (unbelievable from our modern perspective) and stayed at Milan.. Anyway, I'd like to see opinions from Doni and JeanMarc here, after all they're probably the biggest experts on Milan here ![]() |

Ok, thanks to both for the suggestions! I switched Roberto Donadoni with Alberico Evani in the first XI (my bad because I didn't see the part of El Capo's message where he told to move Evani to the left) and replaced Pietro Paolo Virdis with Giuseppe Santagostino for now. |

Please no Bonera, Abate and Brocchi ![]() IMHO Benetti was a better player than Lodetti so I'd change him. Agree with other guys, Tassotti should replace Rosato in starter XI and Gattuso should replace Pirlo or Albertini. |
