I remember when I used to play the various editions of PES on PS1 as a kid. It was truly difficult for me to play the Master League. Then I started playing the PS2 titles and got used to the higher difficulty. One day I decided to play again one of the last editions of the game on PS1. It was probably the first Pro Evolution Soccer. Because I was by then used to a more challenging game, the Master League on PS1 was so easy, to the point where I managed to buy all the best players in a few years and score over 100 goals with Michael Owen (plus other players) in a single season and several header hat-tricks with Jaap Stam. The top goalscorers table was set at a maximum of 99 and couldn't go higher.
