What teams do you consider as favorites on the cup? Who will be the stars of the tournament?
Russia opened the tournament with a 5:0 against Saudi Arabia. Beautiful goals by Cheryshev, especially the second one

Now that nobody on this forum has their home team still in the tournament (as far as I know), who does everyone want to win? I’d love to see Belgium or Croatia win, and even though I’m Scottish, I kinda like this English team for some reason, Kane is one of my favourite players and Southgate seems like a great guy. It would also be amazing to see Jamie Vardy win the World Cup to complete his Cinderella story from non-league football to world champion in only a few years

I would like to see a new world champion.
The strongest teams are France and Belgium so my choice is this last one mentioned.

As I said that the winner was going to be between Brazil and Belgium, I think the Belgian deserves this cup ...

Well, Fellaini and Vertonghen belong to my favorite players since their times at Everton/Ajax, so I hope that they (and of course Alderweireld, Lukaku, de Bruyne and the rest of the squad) win the cup. If Belgium doesn't win it, I hope that Croatia wins the cup.
But the most important thing is that finally both Crymar and CR7 + Argentina are out of the tournament, would have been horrible to see any of them win the WC..

In my opinion Belgium and Croatia are the teams that showed a beautiful football most consistently. France started to show its potential after the group stage.
Belgium vs Croatia should be the final.

I think Belgium should be the champion.
They deserved to win today. Lukaku, de Bruyne and Hazard are great players, the title would be in good hands with this new generation in this World Cup of surprises.

One question for Smolov...Are you insane, to take penalty like that? For me, he's the worst player of this World Cup. And the thing about him that pissed me off the most is his attitude on the pitch in every game. He looks disinterested for the game.

Smolov's penalty was hilarious because it was not only a bad idea but terrible execution too, if he was trying to do a Panenka he should have hit it down the middle...

Easy to say it was stupid in hindsight though, after all, if Maier had stayed in the middle instead of diving, Panenka would have gone down in history as an idiot
