Hey guys, as we had the same thread four years ago, I thought it would be a good idea to have one for the 2018 WC as well  What teams do you consider as favorites on the cup? Who will be the stars of the tournament? Russia opened the tournament with a 5:0 against Saudi Arabia. Beautiful goals by Cheryshev, especially the second one

France was great today. Belgium after eliminating Brazil didn´t have the same luck (damn you, Fernandinho). Since I´ve been wrong in my predictions so far, I think England will be the champion.

Don't know how you can call him "Failderson" either considering Henderson was fantastic for most of the tournament, possibly England's best player with Pickford... Anyway, Croatia deserved to win, their fight is incredible, Perisic, Mandzukic and Modric especially. I'm glad this great Croatian generation finally got it together and challenged seriously for a title. Hopefully they'll beat France, I'd love to see a new winner!

Perisic has been shit during the last season with Inter, but in this WC he proof that he is still capable to show his class.

France has everything to win the World Cup + fresh legs, and by far better chance to win a international trophy that 2 years (pretty much the same scenario, if not "easier", their rivals are with 3 extra-times on their legs), if they can't beat Croatia, this generation will not win anything.

Congrats to France! They were superior to Croatia. However Croatia played a great match and a great World Cup in general. I also say that the World Cup is won by an "African" team for the first time this year (joking)!
