Milan still has quite some revenue (250m last season). That puts them in the 12th place in the world (Juventus is 10th with 279m). So based on that (because football results nowadays are based on money more than ever) they should be runner up in Italy and should be able to reach the last 8 in the CL. When they don't it just is mismanagement and they spend there money wrong..

The problem of Milan is the lack of money and mismanagement of the few who has. This naturally leads to invest in players average if not poor level. And the results can only be disastrous. Seem light years away, the periods in which Milan won and enjoyed both in Italy and in Europe: you have to change course soon, because continuing so I see very difficult situation for Milan. In this regard it is interesting to an article in Italian Paolo Maldini, who in a few lines, photographer really so simple but exemplary of the current situation of Milan, where it seems incredible, but someone like Maldini, who made history of Milan not found place in society! The link to the article is this: http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/M ... 5026.shtml

All the Serie A teams spent less money than ten years ago not only Milan.
Milan never spent a lot of money for a player in the last 15 years only for Rui Costa, Nesta and Inzaghi in 2001 and 2002 but they always spent tons of money for old players or free agent, this market strategy has been completely wrong because they can guarantee only 1-2 years on good level even if you made 3-4 years contract, like I said Milan has the second total of salary in the Serie A but the value of the roster isn't absolutely the second of the Serie A, to reduce salary we have to pay for sell players because they haven't any value and no one wants them. We had to sell Thiago and Zlatan for having money to pay salary to former players.
Galliani has not any football knowledge, he buys only the players he knows, Strootman? He didn't know him... Vidal? Pogba? Coman? The same. He knew Essien so he bought him even if he is a former player since 2010.
Berlusconi can't spent anymore tons of money cause of his personal troubles (divorce, judicial decisions, etc.) and his family, Milan is only a part of his big company (Fininvest) and his financial statement have repercussion on the budgetary of the main company and since 2 of his sons don't give a fuck about Milan and they control only other parts of the company (Mediaset for example) he can't anymore waste money in football.
The culprit is only Galliani who have never renovate the roster, a lot of players were already old in 2007 even if they won CL and we continue with them for other 4-5 years without buying any young players who could substitute them. He never had a project for Milan only "live day by day".
Last but not least we haven't a decent youth team, only players good for Serie B or Lega pro like Petagna.

The club always had and still has huge debts, even in the times of the biggest successes in the past. That's the problem, so Berlusconi needs to cover it always and after 30 years that sitauation reached the limit. But even without some big money, we could and should build stronger squad. But Galliani who is big Juve fan, said no... Instead of giving a chance to Cristante, he bought Essien. We had Aubameyang but never gave him the chance, instead of him the retard old man bought Matri and Pazzini. And Torres Instead of some Dutch youngster in defence, he bought Alex who's ready to retire. Now he wants to buy 33 years old Pasqual Not even mentioning his other "great" signings: R.Oliveira, Dhorasoo, Dario Smoje, Beckham, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Legrottaglie, Didac Vila, Adiyiah, Amoroso, Domoraud, Dugarry, Eleftheropoulos, Maxi Lopez, Bojan Krkić, Senderos, Matias Silvestre, Tonetto, Taiwo, Sokratis, Onyewu, Javi Moreno, Mesbah, B. Traore, Vieri, West, Zaccardo, Vergara...

He played/plays really well there, it's Milan problem if they can't judge a player correctly and sell them.. IMO Milan's defence surely wouldn't have been worse with Sokratis..

It was a different Milan, in that year we had Nesta and Thiago Silva so we could "spit" on Sokratis and sold him after only a match played bad against Cesena, in the current Milan he would be the best central defender by far.

I think Milan only needs time to reestructure the team... I mean, it isn't the first time that a great team loses its style, players and lost their "image" of the past... Real Madrid had the same problem untill Mourinho came to the team, before that... The team always left UCL in Round of 16 for six consecutive years, Mourinho broke that streak. It only needs players with talent and technique, a coach who knows their strenght and weakness points and of course, players who want play every second in the field, with that you'll have the same situation as Atlético for example By the way, I hope have time soon to dedicate to the forum, I'm too busy lately

And the oscars for best acting go to Pepe & Ronaldo. I've rarely seen such unfair players, so funny when Pepe jumped into Höwedes in the last minute and then acted like he had a heavy injury Schalke would have deserved to advance to the next round but unfortunately the referee did everything to help Real and succeded..

Hopefully the blowhard lower a bit the crest! I'm glad to have scored David Luiz. Just the player that Mourinho did not consider important for Chelsea. Indeed, for him with his assignment, Chelsea, became even stronger...
