So guys, as for the big tournaments in 2014 and 2018 I think I open a thread to discuss the current European championship 2016 (don't know why we didn't have one in 2016 lol).

Italy vs. Turkey is a pretty interesting match for a start and one of the few games where I actually support the Italian NT

Regarding the favorites I think that France is of course the biggest one, the other big nations (England, Italy and of course us Germans) as well and the eternal "secret favorite" - Belgium (whose "Golden generation" will surely do everything to finally claim a title).
Hopefully there'll be surprises as well but tbh I can't predict who can pull of an "Island 2.0" this year ;)

It is also important that Italy have had three very difficult knockout games with 2 of them going to 120 minutes. I don't know what the game tomorrow will look like but both Denmark and England have been able to rest with some more comfortable games.

Portugal.

Pathetic move from Sterling but no surprise. Nice move of UEFA to help England reach a final, fortunately stuff like that won't help them against Italy.

Well, Denmark's goal came from an invisible foul too. But still, Tofiq Bahramov must have been on the VAR tonight. Schmeichel in particular didn't deserve to go out like this.

Italy vs England will be the battle of the divers.

Looking at this video I think it was a penalty. The second defender clearly fouls him, even if he’s already starting to fall at that point.

If you already dive with the intention to get contact (and that's no foul, even in women's football most refs wouldn't give anything here), then it's a dive. Sterling has dived in the past and in that situation it was absolutely obvious that he just wanted the penalty, nothing else. Too bad that none of the Danish players didn't hit him afterwards, I wouldn't have minded if any of them would have stomped on his harmstring for example.

Yes he dived for the first tackle but then the 2nd defender fouls him so it's a penalty.

I think if that was anywhere else on the pitch nobody would complain about it being a foul. Of course it's funny to see everyone in Europe now supporting Italy even though Immobile's dive was much more embarrassing and every country in Europe has been cheated by the Italians for decades.

England has a solid defence but Italy might try to shoot from outside the box in case there's no space to go in front of the goal.

They're doing just that as I expected. It didn't work so far though.

Whoever thought that after Oddo, di Sciglio and Darmian Italy's RB couldn't get worse is proven wrong today by di Lorenzo lol
How can a player be out of position all the time, not only at the goal (why is he in the center there instead of marking/covering Shaw?) but in every fucking situation..
The only other player who's equally bad is Immobile who apparently thinks that a CF isn't allowed to enter the penalty box. Still hope that Italy turns the game but I somehow don't believe it. I wouldn't actually be mad about the English players winning it (except for that diver Sterling) but for their retard fans who've proven again today (like in the whole tournament) that most of them are alcoholic idiots that are most likely the result of inbreeding for generations.

They did it! Despite an awful performance (again) by Di Lorenzo, Immobile and Emerson, they did it! Well deserved in my opinion. Great second half. England got cocky at the penalties. Donnarumma and Chiellini outstanding!

Congratulations Italy! The best team of this tournament, I'm especially happy for Chiello, Leo, Chiesa but also Mancini and Vialli :)
And regarding Sterling and Southgate: Hahahahaha, it's coming Rome!
