Do you think it is more interesting to create an era or a season team?

For example, Flamengo 2019-2022 or Flamengo 2019?

Do you find interesting to have Robinho, Sergio Ramos, Figo and Hierro in the same team? They shared the same number, so it's not accurate to assign Robinho and Sergio Ramos a different number.

Era teams have one single purpose to me: save storage in the OF.

What do you mean? How does an era team help in saving storage?

In the PS2 gen, there are less squad slots, so it's rather impractical to have the first stint of Florentino Pérez as Real Madrid President (Los Galácticos Era) in one single OF:

6 teams, basically ¼ or ⅓ of a League section just for Real Madrid.

Instead of having Real Madrid 2000-01, 01-02 and more you have Real Madrid 2000-06 in a single one team. With this you can use other team slots with differentes teams.

Would you use six slots for six different Real Madrid era teams from the same period? Unless I'm misunderstanding your reply, I don't think it's practical. You would have a lot of duplicates. I believe you can easily find 20 Spanish teams as well as teams from other countries that had at least one good enough era, either short or long. While it'd be difficult in recent titles to create only era teams, I think it's plausible up to PES 2010.

It depends really, mostly I create era teams, but always looking at the specific years if they make sense
e.g. if there were not a lot of transfers in 2-3+ years, perhaps it's better to go with an era team. At least this was the case in the 60s, 70s, 80s etc...modern era teams tend to have more frequent transfers so it kind of changes the team structure in a way and probably the better option is to go with a season team.

Then again, sometimes it comes to coaches and their legacy, there's a lot of great examples throughout football history.

So whatever criteria the Flamengo 19-22 (or just 19) team covers, you can go with that IMO

Here's the nitpicking aspect: it put me off putting an combined era of a certain team, because of the inability of putting the same shirt number to certain players who shared the same number in the same team, at least without edition tools, you can't make them share the same shirt number.

I can see your reason regarding the shirt numbers. AS teams can make it easier to solve this aspect. Then for an era team I would just give a "less important" player a number he didn't t use if there's no other solution. I don't care too much about the numbers, but that's me.

Anyone here edit PES 2017 in PC? There is a tool like Pes Editor to edit the option file?

I do. I suggest to look up for the kit server a part from the editor. It's a very usefu and fast way to edit the graphic side of the game.
