Biography of Velež starts on June 26th 1922. Velež was born, actually in the field, the North Camp. Velez was named after a nearby mountain Velez, which again, like the Great Velesha town, named after the Old Slavic name of God, "Velesh". The memory of it is missing the arrival of Christianity in this region, and the power of God Velez were mixed with those of St. Nicholas, the patron saint. In the first days of his life, Velez was weighed forces with local rivals, but also those from other cities. 1924. the Olympic tournament finalists in Mostar. His greatest success was achieved state championships in seasons: 1972/73, 1973/74 and 1987/88. when the end of the season won second place.
