INFO:
He was a very difficult goalkeeper to beat, despite his short stature for a goalkeeper (1.76 meters), he showed great versatility in stopping enemy attacks.Being, for example, able to save an over-head Kick to the Argentine striker De Vincenzi, in the Round of 16 of the 1934 World Cup. His reflections were the answer to the 3-2 victory over an Argentina that was superior to Sweden, according to the chronicles, saving absolutely everything. He was listed as unbeatable, being one of the benchmarks of that team. That duel against Argentina gave him a lot of mental strength. And with that he declared prior to the duel against Germany in the quarterfinals, that he had not received any goals in the previous 2 games between Sweden and Germany. Although his national team lost 2-1, he proved to be a great goalkeeper in that World Cup.
