That set has nothing to do with Gustavo at Bayern and Wolfsburg. He was better passer, he was better technician, he was faster, he was way more than just a pure desroyer. I respect your attempt to create Brazil 2014 sets but then you should specify that it's just for that particular tournament instead of assigning him an era where he was much better player than depicted here..

Yes, I understand. All the knowledge I had from him was mostly from watching the 2013 Confed. Cup, the 2014 WC and some 2015 friendlies, so I didn't actually take much time watching him at Bayern and Wolfsburg.

Would you suggest any changes to the stats to make it a proper 2012-2015 set, or should I rename the set to 2013-2015 National Team? I believe he might have played differently with the NT because of guys like Paulinho and David Luiz, who left the team in dire need of a more "destroyer-like" defensive backbone. Maybe we could split this set between Luiz Gustavo's performances with the NT and his regular days with Bayern/Wolfsburg.

If I remember well, in some kicker page where formations were displayed, I saw him as LB (around 2011-2013)
Also Konami gave him SB as position, so the default ingame set of him didn't have the SB just for the sake of it.

Well for now the best would be to rename it but tbh I'd split it in three sets: Bayern (2011-2013, since 2011 and 2012 were IMO his best years for us), Wolfsburg (2013-2016) and NT. Hoffenheim set would be appreciated as well but I don't think that you want to spent days on watching Luiz Gustavo :D
Here's a glimpse of what I meant about his Bayern days:

Ignore the title but some things (especially those long passes) are pretty obvious to spot.

His performances against Sneijder in 2011 and Özil in 2012 are arguably his best DM matches at Bayern. The match against Borisov might be interesting to watch as well since it featured both him and Javi as DMF/CMF (one of the few games without one of them partnering Schweinsteiger). CMF/SB (+ LF/LS) should be added for sure for a Bayern set.

Oh, leave it to me! Just gimme some time, and I'll be sure to do it. It'll be cool to dive deeper into his club career and make a better set for him.
For now, I'll rename the set to 2013-2015 NT.

Post subject:  Re: LUIZ GUSTAVO 2013-2015 NT

I'll be posting my notes here, I'm planning on creating a Bayern set first. There are still some games to be watched.

Spoiler: show
Bayern x Internazionale UCL 10-11 (1st game)

Has no difficulty playing DMF by the right; Falls a lot by the middle while Schweinsteiger moves around.
Very quick to join the D-Line to help with more defensive duties.
Annihilated Sneijder --> Seems to track him around, cuts him off precisely and does not let him move much with the ball/pass the ball around.
Also very aware of Cambiasso and Thiago Motta
Precise diagonal passes, long passing (30m-40m) from the right to activate runs by the left side (Pranjic)
Precise sliding tackles, very good timing
(!!!) Lines up for long shots, very decent power, curling and technique for a DMF.
(!!!) Displays a bit of flair (outside of the boot, quick feet and step-overs)

Does not attack very often
Avoids going up on corners and FKs
Average against aerial threats/Average on jum/hea
Avoids using weak foot, but does it with enough accuracy to deliver short passes (WFA 5, WFF 3)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bayern x Real Madrid UCL 11-12 (1st game)

Plays mostly as a RDMF - Can be seen moving out wide to the right to fend off Marcelo's attacking runs
Sticks close to Özil
Tracks back a lot
Very good lateral and diagonal passing
Decent interceptions
Goes up on corners and FKs
Shoots from distance (good technique, decent power and curl, not very accurate)
Although very defensive, can be seen attacking more often

Lacks a bit of zone coverage/awareness (Cristiano Ronaldo's 2nd goal of the game)
Fouls quite often (Marcelo, Özil, Cristiano Ronaldo)
Average against aerial threats/Average on jum/hea
Avoids using weak foot, but does it with enough accuracy to deliver short passes (WFA 5, WFF 3)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bayern x Real Madrid UCL 11-12 (2nd game)

Plays mostly as a RDMF - Sticks close to Özil, Ronaldo and Marcelo
Tracks back a lot
Decent interceptions
Goes up on corners and FKs
------2nd half------------------------------------------------------
Switches more with Schweinsteiger, tries to attack more
Good short passing
Slots in at the back as a 3rd CB whenever Schweinsteiger goes for 1-on-1 pressure/whenever Madrid's lines go higher up the field

Commits a lot of fouls (gets booked in e.t., subsequently getting suspended for the final match)
Average against aerial threats/Average on jum/hea
Avoids using weak foot, but does it with enough accuracy to deliver short passes (WFA 5, WFF 3)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bayern x BATE Borisov UCL 12-13

Plays mostly as a DMF/CMF - Switches with Javi Martínez (one attacks more as a CMF, the other defending as a DMF)
Shoots from distance
Decent interceptions
Goes up on corners and FKs
------Javi Martínez is subbed off------------------------------------------------------
Plays as the team's sole DMF
Attacks when Bayern is in possession of the ball
------Bastian Schweinsteiger is brought in---------------------------------------------
As Hölger Badstuber is subbed off --> Luiz Gustavo plays as a LB
Shows decent TS and STA, running deep to deliver crosses
When defending, can leave D-Line for interceptions
Stops going up to the box for FKs and corners

Goes quite deep when attacking, takes quite a while to track back and help with defensive duties (e.g. Pawlaw's goal at '23, Radzivonaw's goal at '78)
Average against aerial threats/Average on jum/hea
Avoids using weak foot, but does it with enough accuracy to deliver short passes (WFA 5, WFF 3)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bayern x Hamburger SV BUNDESLIGA 12-13

Plays as a LB
Good TS
Very good STA
Delivers long shots

Does not attack much, slots back quite often as a left CB.
Avoids going up on FKs and corners
Average against aerial threats/Average on jum/hea
Avoids using weak foot, but does it with enough accuracy to deliver short passes (WFA 5, WFF 3)

Added Hoffenheim set. Overall, he looked like a "raw" version of his prime at Bayern. A bit less experienced, his long passing were not on point yet. On the other hand, he seemed more eager to attack.
