INFO:
Fabián Rinaudo is a former defensive midfielder. Born in Armstrong, Santa Fe (08/05/1987), he started his professional career for Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP) at age 21. His official debut was on October 5, 2008, against River Plate, in a match that ended in a 0-0 draw. With the Gimnasia shirt, he played 100 official matches in his first stint of which he could only score two goals. On July 4, 2011, Fito's move to Sporting Clube de Portugal became official, signing a 4-year contract, until June 2015 with a termination clause of €25.000.000. His debut came on July 23, 2011, in Sporting's 2-1 victory over Juventus. On November 4, 2011, he suffered a fracture of the fibula and the displacement of the tibia in his left leg in the defeat of his team, Sporting CP, against Vaslui, from Romania, in a Europa League match. On 10 January 2014, he was loaned to Calcio Catania and made the move permanent later in July 2014 in a 3-year contract, for €1.6 million fee plus bonuses. Sporting would also receive 50% of the future transfer fee if Catania sold the player. In July 2015 Fabián Rinaudo returned to the club where he was born; on July 25, his official return took place, entering in the second half for Roberto Brum in the corresponding match on week 18 of the Argentine tournament against Crucero del Norte. He would finally finish his career at Rosario Central, the club where he spent his formative career, retiring from professional football in 2021, at the age of 34.

On May 20, 2009, he joined the Argentine National Team for the first time, called up by Diego Maradona, playing a friendly game against Panama that the Albiceleste team won by 3 to 1. In total, he played 8 games for the "B" National Team, called the Selección Local, since it was composed of only players who played in the Argentinian league system. On Thursday, August 18, 2011, he was confirmed to be part of the Argentine squad again, this time with Alejandro Sabella as coach, but this time to be part of the first team. In 2014, he formed part of the list of 30 players preselected to travel to the World Cup in Brazil, however, he could not be among the 23 who ended up playing.

Rinaudo is a defensive midfielder by the book. He has a good physical display, puts a lot of pressure on opposing players, with a high power to remove other people's balls. He has a very strong personality and a firm attitude, which makes him a stronghold in the midfield. He can play in the midfield alone and also as a doble cinco (paired with a partner in a 4-4-2). When Carlos Freitas, sporting director of Sporting CP signed him, he stated the following: "He is a player that I particularly followed in recent years. I know perfectly what he can give within the team: combativeness, aggressiveness, and commitment."
