INFO:
Carlos Araujo is an Argentine former footballer who played as a right-back. Born in the city of Mendoza (19/11/1981), his beginnings in youth football were at Deportivo Algarrobal de Las Heras, and he made his professional debut at the age of 19 for Independiente Rivadavia in 2000. In the first part of his career he played for Atlético Rafaela, Racing Club, Estudiantes de La Plata, Newell's Old Boys, and Olimpo, but the crowning moment of his career would come at C.A. Huracán. It was in Huracán where he became known nationally and regionally, being part of the historic "Cappa's Angels" team, which dazzled Argentine football in the 2009 Clausura. The following year, Araujo joined the ranks of AEK Athens, and after an entire season as a starter in Greece, he would arrive at C.A. Lanús, where he would also make history. In Lanús he would play 167 matches and would be part of the Copa Sudamericana champion team in 2013; Finally, in 2015, Pipi would return to C.A. Huracán, where he would remain for 5 more seasons before returning to the club where he was born, Independiente Rivadavia, where he would retire from professional activity in 2021 at the age of 40.
