INFO:
Martín Cauteruccio is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a center-forward. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay (14/04/1987), he started his professional career at Club Nacional aged 19, making his debut in a Uruguayan Derby against Peñarol. Nacional would loan him twice during his three years at the club, once to Centro Español, and other one to Racing Montevideo. In 2011 he arrived in Quilmes on a loan for six months and with a purchase option, this being his first experience in Argentina. In Quilmes, he would become an icon: the Uruguayan quickly won the hearts of the Quilmes fans and became an extremely important player in the team's framework. Despite having offers from Argentinos Juniors, Emelec from Ecuador, and other Primera teams, Cauteruccio continued wearing the colors of Quilmes in Nacional B, since they decided to buy his transfer with a three-year contract. In the second category, he was the team's most important scoring forward; He would achieve the promotion to the First Division, and in the 2012-2013 season of the first category of Argentine football, he would score 14 goals in 35 games. On July 4, 2013, he was signed by San Lorenzo de Almagro with a three-year contract. In a match for the 6th matchday of the 2013 Torneo Inicial against Rosario Central, he would score his fifth goal with the San Lorenzo shirt, but a few minutes later he would get injured due to an unfortunate play. When the studies were done, the worst news was announced, Cauteruccio had torn his ligaments, in the same play that scored the goal against the canallas. With only eight games played in the azulgrana shirt so far, he had scored five goals until that unfortunate injury. He completely recovered from his injury and officially returned to the fields on May 19, 2014, coming in for Julio Buffarini in the second half of the last date of the 2014 Torneo Final against Vélez Sarsfield with a 2-3 defeat. On May 13, August 2014, Cauteruccio was instrumental in San Lorenzo's victory in the 2014 Copa Libertadores Final: Placed in the starting eleven of the defining match, Cauteruccio was the one who received the penalty that Ortigoza scored, giving San Lorenzo their long-awaited Libertadores. Later, Cauteruccio would have excellent spells in clubs such as Cruz Azul, from Mexico, Estudiantes (LP), Aldosivi and Independiente, from Argentina, and is currently playing as a center forward for Sporting Cristal in Peru.
