Esteban Andrada is an Argentine footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. Born in a shantytown in San Martín, Mendoza (01/21/1991), Andrada worked as a grape harvester until the age of 14 to support his family of 6 siblings. While working in viticulture, Andrada played in the youth teams of A.C. San Martín until former Mendozan footballer Luciano Nicotra took him to tryouts at Lanús, where he eventually stayed. Andrada made his professional debut on February 7, 2012, against Barracas Central in the Copa Argentina, although he had been part of the squad since 2007. Due to a lack of playing time as a backup to Agustín Marchesín, he was loaned to Arsenal de Sarandí, where he played 48 matches and conceded 68 goals. He later returned to Lanús but was behind Fernando Monetti in the pecking order. In late 2016, coach Jorge Almirón chose Andrada as the starting goalkeeper for the season, and he quickly established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Argentine League. In 2017, with Andrada as a key player, Lanús reached the final of the Copa Libertadores, losing to Grêmio with an aggregate score of 3-1. On August 2, 2018, he signed with Boca Juniors for 4.6 million euros plus the transfer of Guillermo Sara to Lanús. He made his official debut on August 8 of that year in a Copa Libertadores round of 16 match against Club Libertad from Paraguay. Andrada performed outstandingly at Boca, winning three titles: the Argentine Supercup in 2018, the Primera División in 2019, and the Copa de la Liga in 2020. In 2019, Esteban Andrada surpassed the record for consecutive minutes without conceding a goal held by Antonio Roma, who went 782 minutes without conceding in consecutive matches with Boca. He also exceeded the mark of Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya, who had 825 minutes with a clean sheet in Primera División matches. Andrada ended with 864 consecutive minutes without conceding a goal in the Primera División and 1129 minutes across all competitions, marking the third-longest streak in the professional era of Argentine football. On July 4, 2021, the signing of the Argentine goalkeeper by C.F. Monterrey was officially announced. The Mexican team paid approximately 6 million dollars for Andrada's services.

On May 18, 2011, he was called up to the Argentine National Team even without having debuted in the Primera División. On August 18, shortly after taking over as Argentina's coach, Alejandro Sabella announced his first two lists as coach. First, he confirmed the local players to train for the 2011 Superclásico of the Americas. Then, he confirmed a list of 26 players for a tour of Asia where Andrada, after his excellent performance in the U-20 World Cup, was called up to the senior national team for the first time. In 2012, he was again called up as the third goalkeeper for the 2012 Superclásico of the Americas against Brazil. In 2019, he was once again called up to the National Team and made his debut against Morocco, in a match that ended 1-0 in favor of Argentina; Andrada was substituted in the 66th minute. He was also called up for that year's Copa America, but an injury prevented him from being available. He played 3 more games for Argentina that year: a 4-0 win against Mexico, a 1-0 win against Brazil and a 2-2 draw against Uruguay.
