The press of the time highlighted him for being a gentleman and for his fair play (as I said above), but also for having a rare athletic aptitude for the time, being a glorious athlete for his school, where he won all the medals in each of the disciplines. This was noticeable in his football, he jumped better, ran better, and kicked harder than many of his opponents and teammates. It should also be noted that he was surprising for his ability to use both feet, something that was not common at the time. Under all these virtues, Ernesto earned a definitive place in the Argentine national team, where he played for more than a decade, also being considered the best winger of his time in the country.

Ernesto Brown was renowned for his very powerful low shot at the time. He could hit the ball with plenty of strength without it lifting the floor at any times.
His brothers Eliseo and Jorge Gibson (especially in free kicks) were also known for their shot power.

By the way, the SMF position didn't exist in the 1900s. If he was a half-back, it qualifies as a DMF in modern terms. Full-backs also count as CBs and not SBs if you translate their positions. Just as a comment regarding your other sets too. In the 2-3-5 formation, the positions would be: one GK, two CB's, three DMF's, two WF's, two SS's and one CF. Great work so far, keep going!

It makes sense, El Gráfico described him as a right half, while other sources described him as a left back, although we know that the backs were different. I think i can add the CB position, define the DMF position as you say, and obviously leave him the CF position because from time to time he was a forward.
