Remembered forward for his speed, dribbling, and his goals. He was part of one of the best forwards in the history of Independiente (Micheli, Cecconato, Lacasia, Grillo and Cruz), replacing Lacasia as the center forward, just two years after his professional debut. With Independiente he was never able to become champion, but that match at the Bernabeu where Avellaneda's team scored 6 against Real Madrid in '53 remains to be remembered.
In total he scored 53 goals in 134 games.
He was international with Argentina in the 1955 Copa América, which the Albiceleste team would win.
