INFO: Servílio was part of the first "Academy" of Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, playing alongside Ademir da Guia, Tupãzinho, Valdir de Moraes, Djalma Santos and other great players. He won several titles in his 292 games and 185 victories for Palmeiras and scored 140 goals for the green and white team (approximately 0.46 goals per game), thus placing him on the list of the ten greatest scorers in the history of the club. He was the son of another striker, Servílio de Jesus, who played for Corinthians and was known as "Bailarino". His privileged physical build and height were some of the factors that set Servílio apart from other players of his time. Strong in heading the ball, the attacking midfielder is among the greatest scorers in the history of Palmeiras. Also a coach, he used intelligence more than speed to set up offensive plays during the times of the First Palmeiras Academy. In the Brazilian national team, he played in ten matches, two in the 1960 Roca Cup and eight friendlies, scoring six goals. He was called up for the 1966 World Cup. He was in great form, the top scorer that he always was, but an injury while the Brazilian team was playing friendlies in Europe ended up leaving him out of the World Cup.
