Abdul Salam Al-Mukhaini is regarded as one of the most prominent defenders in the history of Omani football. His professional career spanned the Omani league and successful overseas experiences in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, before he settled with Dhofar Club for many years. He represented the Omani national team from 2009, taking part in dozens of international matches and serving as a key figure in Gulf competitions and continental qualifiers.
