Ahmed Hadid is considered one of the most prominent midfielders in the history of Omani football. He began his career domestically before embarking on successful professional experiences in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, most notably with Al-Ittihad. He represented the Oman national team for more than a decade, earning over 100 international caps and competing in major tournaments such as the AFC Asian Cup and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Hadid was a key member of the generation that won the 2009 Gulf Cup, the first historic title for the Omani national team. He was distinguished by his playing style as a midfielder with excellent vision, accurate passing, and an ability to link the lines, and was known for his calmness on the pitch and his control of the game’s tempo, prioritizing teamwork over individual spotlight.
