INFO:

Jihad Al-Hussein is regarded as the “maestro” of Syrian football and one of the most skillful and prominent playmakers in the history of the Saudi Pro League. He won the award for Best Playmaker in the Saudi League three times, including two consecutive seasons. Al-Hussein was distinguished by a playing style built on exceptional vision, precise line-breaking passes, and outstanding ability to control the tempo of matches, in addition to his refined technical skills, close control, and dribbling. His golden career began with Al-Karamah SC, where he achieved notable Asian accomplishments, before shining with Al-Qadsia of Kuwait and Al-Taawoun of Saudi Arabia, with whom he won the King’s Cup in 2019. After retiring in 2020, he swiftly transitioned into coaching, leading Al-Taawoun’s youth team to the league title in 2025, before being appointed head coach of the Syrian Olympic National Team in October 2025. As of 2026, Al-Hussein continues to leave his technical imprint as a rising coach, building on his legacy as one of the most intelligent and influential players in Arab football.

"Personally, I enjoyed watching him play in the Saudi League, although he worries me when he's an opponent of my team".
