Isn't his Response too low? Comparing him with other defenders of his generation (1930's all stars for example), is the worst defender in terms of RES now.

Most of them should get too a similar downgrade to fit him..There's no way that they should have defensive skills comparable to the Serie A of 80's or 90's

Maybe, but downgrade his RES from 95 to 82 isn't a bit too harsh for him? Btw, the downgrade in his other stats seems razonable.

Not actually, those stats were very outdated and when we review again the info we found that he didn't really deserved such high values at RES..

For what I read he was slow but reliable in defence, maybe 85 fit more for him (I think that 10 points of downgrade is enough). Although he is a player from the 1930's and 1940's, he is one of the best brazilian center backs ever and was awarded as the best defender in the 1938 World Cup.

I agree, but some members don't agree as you can see. Whatever I do, somebody is unhappy and than "dictatorship" issues start floating on the site..

Anyway we updated Janes on RES 83 and I clearly see him better there. And many other defenders from that era you were mentioning, are not updated yet. Some of them should also get now significant decrease in some stats, especially Quincoces..

About Domingos, I saw just the texts highlighting his technical skills and dribbling, calmness on the ball and even playmaking, but not some spectacular defending..

Ok, I will wait for the updates in the other players. My only fear is that the old legends start getting too bad comparing him to contemporary legends. In my opinion, the football has improved specially in the physical part, but not so much in the technical part. Maybe is more understandable with veeeery old legends (1900's and 1910's) but no with 1930's and 1940's legends. But it's my point of view, someone can have a different opinion, obviusly :D

Don't get angry! Haha  But yes, I think the same. For me some 1930's legends are technically good as some 1980's legends. Maybe they are inferior in physical aspects (trainings and technologies improved, football is quicker, etc) but not in his technique.

Rather remove Tactical Dribble for Dribbling, his style wasn't exactly holding or spending too much time with the ball like T. Dribble suggest, plus he liked to 'dribble his way out of the defensive line', usually meaning *Dribbling, you know, like Lucio.

Need an update on him.
Without clues, but his defend should be around 93-96.
At least in honour for the greatest Brazilian defender in the history, until now.

Pfff, best brazilian defender in history my ass.

Did he faced Maradona, Zico, Rummenigge, Platini, Ronaldo, Baggio R., Zidane, Del Piero, Bergkamp, Shearer like Oscar, Edinho and Aldaír did?
