INFOS:

Dominique Rocheteau is a former French footballer born 14 January 1955 in Holy in Charente-Maritime. He played on the positions of striker and right winger. Dominique Rocheteau career is inseparable from Saint-Étienne, which in the 1970s the most popular team in France. Happened in the Forez at the age of 17, he can not really take part in league and cup doubles magnificent 1974 and 1975, playing only a few games due to multiple injuries. Finally recovered, he explodes the following year in the 4-3-3 system implemented by coach Robert Herbin. He quickly became one of the darlings of the public, particularly supporters. Its elegant and dribbles on the right wing pests combined with his long curly hair, quickly earned him the nickname (he hates) to Green Angel assigned by the editor of the magazine Onze, Jean-Pierre Frimbois.

In 1976, Rocheteau passes close to the feat. After the first match of legend in Glasgow, where he scored one goal and made an assist for Hervé Revelli, he will participate in one of the most beautiful turnaround in the history of French football. Opposed to one of the favorites of the European Cup of Champions Clubs in 1976 , the Dynamo Kiev, led by Oleg Blokhin Ballon d'Or, Saint-Étienne is clearly beaten, 2-0, in the first leg. The return leg is Homeric. While the first half ended with the score 0-0, Blokhin is two fingers to open the scoring, but the ball is caught at the last moment. On against Saint-Etienne opened the scoring by Hervé Revelli, then equalizes six minutes later on a free kick by Jean-Michel Larqué. Kiev, which had taken control of the match is struck. During the extension, Dominique Rocheteau, wounded in the thigh and exhausted, managed to regain in extremis center Patrick Revelli and marks the winning goal. Eliminates the French club PSV Eindhoven in the next round, thanks to an outstanding performance from goalkeeper Ivan Curkovic return match after the victory (1-0) in the first leg on a free kick obtained by Rocheteau and transformed by Jean-Michel Larqué and reached the final against Bayern Munich Beckenbauer, the defending champion, who was eliminated last year in the semifinals. Injured during the second half of the match against PSV, Rocheteau not play unfortunately the last seven minutes of this meeting. Femdom, Etienne team will surprise against the run of play on a free kick before the whistle of the referee. It can not make up lost time, despite numerous occasions including a shot off the post and the crossbar of the German goalkeeper Sepp Maier, author of a remarkable game. This year, however, Saint-Étienne won his third title of champion of France in a row, before winning the next year, cutting face France in Reims. From 1978, AS Saint-Étienne, fed her success for so many years, a radical change of policy. The pool formed by the club's training center is increasingly abandoned in favor of recruiting stars like expensive Zimako, Lacombe, Platini, Rep, Battiston. Saint-Étienne then begins its slow decline. After a very good 1978-1979 season during which he scored 21 goals and 12 assists address, Rocheteau live a year from 1979 to 1980 more difficult. Despite a good start (top scorer after 15 days) he was seriously injured in the Championship of France against Angers. Long weeks away from land, its absence coincides with a period of euphoric ASSE (elimination of PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Cup after a rematch history) and hand her back with a slump in the Green Season . St. Stephen is then eliminated from the UEFA Cup in Mönchengladbach then the Coupe de France in Montpellier team then second division. During these two confrontations, Dominique Rocheteau missed goals that might have changed the course of events and some club does not fail to make him the note. While it retains the confidence of Robert Herbin, Rocheteau feels a reserve against him in the direction of the club and prefers from Paris Saint-Germain who offers more than leave his post for a right wing pre- center. He who felt stuck in his role as winger sees this as an opportunity to give a turning point in his career.

In 1980, Rocheteau leaves AS Saint-Étienne and his position of right winger to join the youth club Paris Saint-Germain , where he finds the position fetish its infancy, the center-forward, he had to give Hervé Revelli, then Jonnhy Rep in green. But his style is very atypical. Highly mobile, unwilling to play back to goal or pivot, Rocheteau prefers to use his most effective weapon, dribbling, to sow panic in defenses. Good passer, he did not, however, shows too individualistic (sometimes not enough). PSG may well be ambitious, he gets erratic results. Rocheteau himself accused several drops of shape due to frequent injuries (it is not saved by the defenders) and some psychological fragility. With his new club, he won several titles, however. He won the Coupe de France in 1982 after an epic final played against Saint-Etienne, then led by Michel Platini, who played his last match for a French club. PSG wins 6-5 on penalties after a draw over 2 goals, scoring one goal for Rocheteau Paris, Platini two goals for the greens. In 1983, Paris retains his title by winning against the new champion of France, Nantes (3-2 win). Dominique Rocheteau also acquires a last champion of France in 1986 (the first for the club in Paris), after a first half of the season hallucinating (over twenty match in a row without defeat), under the direction of Gerard Houllier. This year, it will be even viceroy championship scorers with 19 goals, behind goleador Metz Bocandé Jules, who two months later would become his teammate. With Paris, Rocheteau also reached the final of the Coupe de France in 1985 (1-0 defeat against Monaco), and playing a quarter final of the European Cup.

Rocheteau is certainly the French player who was selected in the fastest team in France. After a demonstration match of pre-season against Leeds 1975-1976 (entering in the second half and single-handedly reversed the situation by scoring two goals), the coach of the blue Stefan Kovacs present that day at the stadium Geoffroy Guichard gives him as a joke: "I'll see you in selection, small huh? ". But a few days later, associated with Emon and Molitor attack and served by teammate Larqué, he played his first friendly match in blue face Real Madrid and it still fits two goals. Despite the contribution of the young prodigy, the team of France, already committed evil in the Euro 1976 qualification is finally eliminated by Belgium and the GDR The situation changed with the arrival of Michel Hidalgo. Les Bleus will experience a real revival with the arrival of the coach atypical Michel Hidalgo and that an exceptional generation of players, led by Michel Platini . The striker Etienne participates actively in the football World Cup 1978 played in Argentina , after scoring the first goal of the France-Bulgaria (3-1) decisive for the qualification. This competition is an opportunity for Rocheteau display a true political consciousness, something rare in the world of football, openly expressing his reservations about whether to compete in a sporting event in a country then under the rule of a military dictatorship. Meanwhile, in a France team matured, he played two new World Cup. In 1982, incumbents ousted after a very poor initial match against England (3-1 defeat), it replaces Bernard Lacombe, wounded, against Austria, in the first game of the second round, where the blue is are qualified in extremis, with a rescue on the line at the last minute manual Amoros against Czechoslovakia. Just came into play, Rocheteau gets kick taken by Genghini victorious, the lining of Platini. It will drop over the position. It will therefore take part in the semifinals at terrible France and Germany in Seville , a few days after a magnificent double scored against Northern Ireland. His shot on goal succeeded, after the extension will not prevent the Germans to win after Didier Six and Maxime Bossis have failed goalkeeper Harald Schumacher on. In 1986, in Mexico, he played perhaps his finest world. Although slightly injured before the match Canada and rested during the second against the USSR for treatment, it comes into play again in the third match against Hungary. He scores a goal and made an assist. Qualified for the knockout, France dominates then the copious Italian world champion, winning 2-0 in a fast-paced, Rocheteau new scoring two assists for Platini and Stopyra. He succeeds for one last Platini, bringing his total to four, which makes him one of the best passers of the competition, during the meeting anthology which opposes the quarter-finals of the French artists in Brazil Zico Socrates and Careca, which are among the best technicians in the world. This exceptional event (referred to as the most beautiful game in the history of football by Pele himself) to be completed by a French victory penalty kicks, after twists incredible. Injured during this meeting and replaced by Bruno Bellone, it unfortunately will not participate in the semi-final against Germany. He sees his teammates, exhausted by the quarter-final against Brazil played anthology, lose 2 goals to 0. Rocheteau not take part in the match for third place (won by France 4-2 against the surprising Belgium), and will, at the end of the competition, an end to his international career. Between the two, he won the Euro 1984 played in France. This competition will leave him a bitter aftertaste, as it will take part in only two meetings, Michel Hidalgo preferring Bernard Lacombe and hesitant to associate the two men at the forefront of the attack. substitute in the first match against Denmark (1-0), he joined during the game against Belgium (5-0). But in the next game, against Yugoslavia, Dominique Rocheteau, pivot positioned in a role he hates pain and eventually replaced by Thierry Tusseau. It will not return to the field of competition and his teammates will win half against Portugal (3-2) and in the final against Spain (2-0). A year later, however, his performances with Paris assure him a starting spot in the final of the Intercontinental Cup played in 1985 against Uruguay Enzo Francescoli. He scored one of two goals from the brilliant French victory, the other being registered by José Touré, with whom he formed a duo promising attack which will break a few months later, the young striker who was seriously injured in Nantes in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup against Inter Milan.

After a difficult last season with PSG, where he became nevertheless the best scorer with a hundred achievements (it will be surpassed by Pauleta many years later), Rocheteau, eager to get away from the pressure media Capital, in 1987 joined the ranks of the Toulouse Football Club. He finds his former teammate Etienne Jacques Santini, who became coach, and Yannick Stopyra, with whom he formed a formidable duo during the World Cup 1986. There will mixed two seasons, and last participation in the European Cup. Worn by seventeen years of professionalism, in which he has often been the preferred target of rough defenders, he finally hangs up his boots after a final match against Racing Club de Paris, in which his former teammate of France, Maxime Bossis , seems to play him, coincidentally, also his last professional game (in fact, Bossis out of retirement two years later to play a season with his club trainer Nantes). Rocheteau finished his career with only three yellow cards to his name: one with Saint-Etienne in the European Cup against CSKA Sofia and two with the France team (against Holland in the FIFA World Cup 1982 and the latter against the Hungary in World Cup 1986).

For some numbers, Dominique Rocheteau, while still playing, will deliver monthly chronic Eleven football. Content rather personal papers, where he will talk about his passions, referring in particular its relationship with the music... Converted into a time function player agent, he will stop due to problems with David Ginola . He is currently Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the FFF. Yes, excellent player. Well I didn't watch him for a long time, RES can go down to 81, STA to 83...

Shooting can be higher, but not sure how much..I remember he had orange value for SA in pes 6, but I'm not sure he deserves such a high number, maybe something like Hristo Bonev..

In pes 6 he had SA 86, SP 79, ST 83..We can keep SA, SP 80-81 and ST about 85-86. I'd also lower his speed stats a bit, AGI to 88..

Maybe DA can even be higher..

In that case ATT can be raised to 86, he was always very well positioned in the box on crosses from the wing or ground passes from midfield..
