Well, yeah i mean, who else could , you could also add as vice and third captain to Javi Venta and Gonzalo Rodríguez (the most appearances) since Bruno Soriano didn't make it to the best eleven (although he could, instead of Pirès maybe, he didn't last too much there, but it will mean a change of formation.)..

I like that formation, and yes, I'm agree with Senna as captain. Soriano could be the captain but he is not in the start XI and could be, yes, but he is a DMF and Senna was DMF, if you put two DMF it couldn't be a Spanish team, here in Spain the teams usually play with one DMF, and the best in Villarreal's story is Senna.

But they also play with two central midfielders: a DMF and a CMF..

Yes, but Bruno Soriano and Senna are better DMF than CMF

I guess Godin can be linked here..

I think Mario Gaspar, Sergio Asenjo and Mateo Musacchio deserve a place in reserves.

Cedric Bakambu too, he’s the club’s third top scorer...

- Mario Gaspar must be in XI AS; with 245 matches and 9 goals at the beginning of season 2018/19, if he plays 14 matches he would be the third player in the rank
- Sergio Asenjo with 120 matches (the same that López Vallejo), must be in reserves.
- Mateo Musacchio with 189 matches and 7 goals must be in XI AS.
- Diego Godín, 91 matches and 4 goals must be in reserves.
- Jaume Costa, 176 matches and 4 goals must be in reserves and probably at the end of the season in XI AS.
- Cédric Bakambu is not the third top scorer, he scored 31 goals and Adriano, Rossi, Forlán, Víctor, Riquelme and Uche scored more goals than Uche. I think he doesn´t deserve a place in reserves.

Bakambu scored almost 50 goals in all competitions (so he is in 3rd place), including 9 in the Europa League in 15/16, that’s more than enough to be in reserves.
