Perin is a goalkeeper. He had his best time at Genoa, where he made one Serie A appearance in 2010-11 before playing from 2013 to 2018 and from January 2020 to Summer 2021. He's currently playing for Juventus, where he transferred in 2018 and came back in 2021, although he's been mostly a reserve. He played also for Padova and Pescara. He capped for Italy 2 times so far, once in 2014 and once in 2018.
Considered one of the best Italian young goalkeepers during his early years and surely one of the greatest in his position in Genoa history, Perin is distinguished for being an agile, athletic and dynamic keeper, gifted with excellent reflexes and goalkeeping skills. He possesses also great shot stopping ability and sense of position. Quite tall and gifted with a large frame, he can command his area and reach high balls due also to a good jump. He's fast enough to come off the goal to catch the ball or dive to the ground to make remarkable saves. He's been prone to injuries that limited his appearances in several seasons. During his first stint with Genoa, he proved to be a good penalty saver.
