Defence MindedINFO: Hélio Miguel began his career playing for Portuguesa Londrinense, he became professional in 1968 for the Paraná Esporte Clube (formerly London club, successor of the also defunct São Paulo of Londrina), he moved to America in 1973 at the hands of coach Orlando Fantoni where he excelled by the quick and precise exit that turned into dangerous counterattacks. This year, America got its best place in the Brazilian Championship and Neneca managed to remain undefeated, without goals, for 537 minutes.
He went to the Nautical Club Capibaribe in 1974, becoming Champion of Pernambuco. In 1974, playing for Nautico broke the world record of time without scoring goals: 1,636 minutes in 18 matches.
His most glorious phase was for Guarani Futebol Clube, a club that defended from 1976 to 1980, with his height, physical strength, placement, agility and valor, he became one of the main names in the conquest of the Brazilian Championship. The goal of the title, in Campinas, marked by Careca, began with him.
