Defence MindedINFO:Loseto was a centre back or sweeper. One of Bari greatest legends, he spent most of his career for the
Galletti, playing 327 matches and scoring 15 goals from 1982 to 1993. He played also for a few more clubs including Pescara. He retired in 2000.
Loseto was a tough and strong defender, hard to dribble thanks to his very tight but always fair marking, making his opponents feel the weight and eventually blocking them. He succesfully stopped legends like Maradona, Van Basten, Gullit and Rummenigge among others. He had one of his greatest performances in a 2-0 win against Napoli in a Coppa Italia match on 24th August 1988: Loseto marked and pressed constantly but correctly
El Pibe de Oro for the whole length of the game. He also was effective near the opposing goal: two of his most memorable goals are a great long range shot from over 25 metres in a 3-1 lost against Inter on 13th October 1985 and one of his many headers against Lecce on 22nd October 1989.
