INFO:
Missiroli is a central, attacking, right side and defensive midfielder. Grown up at Reggina, he played 167 matches in the first team from 2004 to 2012 ─ excluding loans to Treviso and Cagliari ─ scoring 24 goals. He then tranferred to Sassuolo, where he helped the team reaching their first ever Serie A promotion and made a total of 200 appearances, scoring 17 times. In 2018, he left for Spal, where he spent three seasons.
Missiroli is a tall midfielder, who though has a thin physique, thanks to which he can guarantee speed and agility but it also made him not very strong when physically charged. He possessed good technique, heading ability and sense of goal, making him a threat in the attack. His height and heading combo is useful also to win balls in the air. An able playmaker especially when delvering short passes, he maintained this characteristic even at Sassuolo, where he played a more defensive role. This way, he still supported the forward line and rushed forward when he had space. In his early years, he was effective when coming in as substitute. In fact, he scored that way all his four Serie A goals with Reggina.
