Dionisio Arce is former Paraguayan striker who played for many Italian clubs but couldn't settle anywhere due to his controversial behaviour. He had excellent ball control and very explosive start, powerful shot and wild will which led to many controversy including kicking the referee with the ball. He was actually versatile and complete striker, had solid strength and good heading abilities. Arce was also good dribbler and knew to make good pass. He began his career at home with the Sportsman Luqueño, also debuting in their National, which in 1949 made a hat-trick against Chile. At home he was loved so much so that fans bucarono the tires of the bus that was taking him to Asuncion to take the plane and stop him from leaving for Italy. In December 1949, the championship started, it was bought by Lazio. He made his debut in Biancocelesti February 12, 1950 in race won 4-0 against Padova. On 22 October 1950, when Lazio-Sampdoria, took a ball on the face of the referee Massai of Pisa, after his team had been on-goal the goal that would have established the final 2-2, in a race in which, according to the Corriere dello Sport, had shown the best of his team and in which he scored the goal of momentary 2-0; was consequently suspended for five days. With the Blues racked up 11 appearances Scored 2 goals in a league by the team finished in sixth place in Serie A. Then donned the jerseys of Sampdoria and Novara. At Novara, with Silvio Piola as a companion, played for three seasons down the field 71 times and making 22 goals. Dionisio then passed to Turin, which for the first time relegated to Serie B in 1958-1959. Great game with 69 games, scoring 19 goals, was also involved, like other teammates in controversy that led him to being fined and put some time off for a rose. The following year retreated again with Palermo where he played 27 games scoring 3 goals. During his career, scored a total of 200 appearances and 56 goals in Serie A and Serie B. 5 appearances. Following the withdrawal opened a business in Bracciano and at the same time remain in the football world by helping the president of the local team in the form of player-coach. Then he trained children formations such as Tuscania, Cerveteri and Montespaccato. Dionisio Arce died in 2000.
