Attack MindedINFO:Antonio Bordon was a centre forward. He played for Udinese in 1971-72, scoring 17 goals in 38 matches. He was noticed and immediately bought by Genoa, where he stayed for two seasons, playing 56 matches and scoring 13 goals − all in the first season. He was sold to Cesena, where he didn't have success. He had success though at Foggia: 22 goals in 93 games from 1975 to 1978. The following season at Bologna was decent with 6 goals in 27 matches. Then Cesena decided to give him a second chance and this time the striker didn't disappoint: 19 goals in 61 matches between 1979 and 1981. He came back to Foggia, where he played three more seasons, scoring 16 times in 73 matches and retired in 1984. He's remembered by Genoa fans for a fantastic goal he scored on 17th September 1972, when he was still young: he was around ten meters outside the box when he received a cross from the right by Franco Ferrari and half turned, he made a torsion to hit the ball with the right foot despite being a natural left-footed.
Bordon was an in-box forward, effective in physical duels thanks a strong build but very complex in the movements. He wasn't a good dribbler but an opportunist, able to shoot on the run with both feet but a bit weak in the air for his good height. He needed to receive the ball in a zone without defenders, so that he could take advantage of a decent gradual speed. In fact he often used to make very short sprints before shooting on goal. He was also an able penalty taker. Moreover he didn't dislike exchanges with his teammates using through passes.
