Juan Vicente Lezcano was born in Asunción (Paraguay) on April 5, 1937, he played as a libero or central defender. Quick defender and very safe and solid in the marking, he also stood out for his great personality with which he commanded and ordered to perfection behind. In the soccer scene he had the nickname of the Marshal and the Paragua. He had excellent sense of anticipating and good marking natural born leader on the pitch, had outstanding jumping abilities and good amount of toughness and knew to send good long balls from the back. Juan Vicente Lezcano was one of the symbols in the defense of Olympia which won a record five consecutive domestic league titles, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 (undefeated) and 1960. Despite his youth, impressed the coach Aurelio Gonzalez, who was its discoverer. Then he became owner and team leader, even reaching the captaincy at the 1959 competition remembered which went undefeated champion Olympia, ruthlessly destroying their rivals. It was a solid central defender with extraordinary powers did not allow even the wind will pick their pockets. In addition to its great contribution sport contributed to his personality and gallons of captain to the success of the club. The Olympia and Lezcano reached the final play of the first edition of the Libertadores Cup in 1960, losing to Olimpia of Uruguay Peñarol.
