Attack MindedINFO:Roberto Vieri − father of Christian and Max − was an inside forward. He grew up at Fiorentina but made his professional debut at Prato in 1965. He joined Sampdoria a year later and played 90 matches, scoring 16 goals, in three seasons. He transferred to Juventus in 1969 but didn't have the same prolificacy and his downfall quickly began. He played also for Roma, Bologna, Canadian team Toronto Metros-Croatia and Australian team Marconi Stallions, where he retired in 1982.
An offensive playmaker, Vieri was a player of class and creativity who mainly supported the centre forward. He possessed great technique, excellent dribbling and tricks, he was dynamic, fast and gifted with a good sprint, had accurate feet and could do whatever he wanted with the ball but only on good days. He had a bad attitude: he smoked over a half pack of cigarettes a day, he rarely slept during Summer, he liked making pranks and running with his car. He could've become a great player if he had courage and will.
