Legendary "The Falcon" or in Bulgaria known also as "The Bulgarian George Best " is regarded in his country as the most talented bulgarian player ever. Fantastic technician whose career was destroyed by alcohol and other off-field circumstances. On the pitch he was a virtuoso, master of improvisation and fantastic dribbler but he wasn't lazy genius like many other similar players. In fact he run and fight like a crazy with enormous energy, madness, speed and physical strength. He was very precise passer and had powerful shot, hard as a rock, could handle the ball efficiently with both feet, flexible like a cat but extreme individualist, very selfish always tending to give spectacle to audience and therefore was a nightmare to his coaches with whom he often had clashes. A player with virtuoso technique, with ingenious to insane improvisational and artistic talent, a high-class financier and dribbler, combining in an incredible way elegance with fighting spirit, great physical strength and energy. He played dynamic and so-called total football long before this style became a major trend in the world development of the game. On the other hand, the Falcon is often accused of extreme individualism and excessive pursuit of spectacle. One of his main problems is the observance of tactical discipline. He is in frequent conflicts with coaches that he ignores their instructions at the expense of those of his father. Gifted with exceptional physique - strong as a rock, very fast, with excellent demarcation, flexible as a cat, resistant to indefatigability. It is charged with inexhaustible electrifying energy and heat. His technique is virtuoso - brilliant stopping and guiding the ball, equal handling of both legs, with an accurate to the centimeter pass, piercing blow. Joro also captivates with the highest football talent - he is an exceptional dribbler and trickster, for whom overcoming several people is not a problem, and in most cases the only way to take the ball away from him is a violation. Another aspect of his true phenomenality is that he, the filigree technician, seems to be getting even stronger on flooded, muddy or snowy terrain. Alcohol, however, turns out to be the curse for the Falcons. And if it is more debatable whether he is at the root of the premature end of Joro's sports career, it is indisputable that the premature end of his life and the physical suffering that preceded him are rooted there. The gift and destiny of Georgi Sokolov are strikingly reminiscent of Garincha - considered by many to be the greatest football player ever born under the sun. Joro shared this opinion unconditionally, perhaps because he also saw this dramatic resemblance. The football genius, worshiped on the field by thousands of worshipers, who, despite his innate kindness and breadth - and perhaps because of them - became an outsider, powerless before the demon of alcohol, ending his life in misery, suffering and loneliness.

Georgi Apostolov Sokolov was born on June 19, 1942 in the metropolitan area "Ivan Vazov". His father Apostol - Potso was in '25 at the time and became one of the best Bulgarian goalkeepers. He played for Spartak (Plovdiv) (1957-1958), Levski (Sofia) (1958-1969) and River (Montana) (1969/es. ). There are 194 games and 58 goals in group "A" (186 matches with 58 goals for Levski seven appearances for River and two appearances for Spartak (Plovdiv), which debuted 15 years and 5 months playing in Pleven). Twice champion of Bulgaria in 1965 and 1968 with Levski and triple winner of the Cup of the Soviet Army (1958 with Spartak (Plovdiv), 1959 and 1967 with Levski).
