INFO:Aswin Tong-innate was a goalkeeper. He was noticed in 1961, while he was playing for Thammasat. He then transferred to Bangkok Bank a year later and was immediately called up to play for Thailand. He tragically died on 26th November 1965 at the age of 28 after an unfortunate clash with an opponent during a warm up match. The same year, he became the first ever player from Thailand to be selected for the Asian All Star Team after the Merdeka Cup.
Regarded as Thailand's greatest ever goalkeeper, Asawin started playing football when he was a kid and chose the this sport for his career despite the fact that he was a high jumper other than having practiced track and field as well as athletics. As a goalkeeper, he was a team player who had the ability to read the game well and motivate his teammates to the point that he could help turning completely a situation of disadvantage into his own team's favor. He had no fear for taking decisions nor for physical challenges with incoming strikers in order to protect the goal.
