Dude, thanks for your work. You came to stay. It's really impressive the effort to make so many players in such a short time.

Juninho's 2000-2002 set was the only one I had that was almost complete, I just had to make some adjustments.

Updated. I took some time to rewatch some of his matches at Vasco and Flamengo, and reviewed this set. It strikes me as if he had lost some of his incisiveness, but he was still a very classy midfielder. His long passing seemed much more accurate, as he could deliver precise through passes to strikers and activate lots of runs from from fellow wingers and side midfielders.

At times, it looked like he was "asleep", but then suddenly he'd find an opening for a long ball, or he'd be able to run forward with the ball (although with less TS than before).

I used to remember him as a flop at Flamengo, but he was actually quite solid during his spell at the "rubro-negro", at a time when the whole team was struggling in the national tournaments.

Regarding him now playing as a CMF, he was sometimes deployed as a "segundo volante", playing alongside the DMF in order to provide extra defensive coverage and help with ball distribution in attacking situations. He performed this role in the WC, partnering Gilberto Silva, and he could be seen doing it at Vasco and Flamengo (partnering the likes of Paulo Miranda, Felipe and Leandro Ávila). His defending as a CMF wasn't bad at all, but I believe he shined much more while running freely during attacks.

He didnt flop at all at his time in Flamengo, actually he was called up for the National Team while there.

The context is that Flamengo was a mess during his time there, the club was awful on earlies 2000 and wasnt able to be competitive even with good players and eventual stars. Also, there was no physical structure at the club for the players.

Julio Cesar, the goalkeeper, is another example of that period. You could see how amazing was him (saving Flamengo to be relegated) but the messy team blurred that.

On the other hand, Vasco that he played at this time was great, a lot of investment was done during late 90's, early 2000 on the club, even tough the political part of the club was always controversy.
