A lot of their goals are apparently indefensible precisely because of the curve he placed in his free kicks, and not necessarily because of how accurate his free kicks were. As FKA 94 is the ideal number, I think 98 is also a great number for Curling, as he knew how to hit with any effect, at any distance and with an incredible change of direction, and that was deadly for the goalkeeper, but compare his long distance charges with Juninho's, for example. While Juninho usually hit the corners of the goal almost every time, Marcelinho hit many in the middle of the goal, but with a curve that would kill any goalkeeper. The trump card that made Marcelinho's free kicks magnificent was the curve, not exactly the accuracy of the shots. |

After watching all his goals on youtube I realised he scored plenty of goals with first touch without receive and control , is that relevant for first time pass trait ? or is that only for volleys ?

If you see it from a different angle, his free kick ability can also be taken as 1-touch play when he directly shoots them.
now, ideally he should also be recognized for his 1-Touch Pass, making quick and precises passes, but he can get it I guess. |
