Being the captain of the only Yugoslav club that have won European Cup, he's done the thing many generations dreamt of - he lifted the European Cup trophy. As the Red Star was under constant attacks from Marseille players, his saves were crucial in winning the trophy. In addition to great performance during the match, he saved the first penalty taken by the pk specialist, Manuel Amoros and lifted his teammates spirit. Overall, he was a decent keeper and nothing more. He didn't earn any caps for the NT. He was always on the goal line, rarely going on the top of the penalty box, and even more rarely using his feet to control the ball. He liked to catch the ball after shots, which was effective, but also risky as it turned out in the European Cup semi finals against Bayern. And that wasn't the only situation that he dropped the ball, but that could have costed his team the most. On the other hand, he had amazing reflexes. And that was his greatest quality. He could save the ball when everyone saw it in the goal already.
