Žika Jevtić was a legendary left back of Red Star, and a player ahead of his time, who like some of his contemporaries (Jusufi, Fazlagić...) regularly joined the attack from a full back position. He was nicknamed Silver (brand of a razor) because of his tough tackles. Despite his stature, he was a tough player, with amazing defensive reactions which covered for his mistakes in positioning. He was excellent technician, able to trick few defenders before delivering excellent low pass. Untypically for a side back, he was better at short passing than in crossing the ball. He was fast player and his speed helped him a lot while doing his surging runs down the left flank. He earned his other nickname Lun (as Lun, the king of midnight) because of his bohemic lifestyle. That costed him a better career, because, despite his attitude and preparedness for the game, he couldn't keep continuity of performances, and couldn't cope with frequent injuries.
