INFO:Peter Nogly was central defender with offensive attitude and defensive midfielder. He liked to rush in attack from back line and showed good ball control and mobility. Nogly was very strong and tough player in tackling with fighting spirit and captained the side. He scored many goals from headers and long range shots, sometimes even after dribbling past few rivals and placing the ball in top angle. He played from 1969 to 1980 as a defensive player with Hamburg SV in the Bundesliga (320 games, 38 goals). By 1976 he HSV DFB Cup winners, 1977 winner of the European Cup Winners Cup and 1979 German Champion. Nogly in 1977 played four times the jersey of the German national football team and was a member of the squad that was in 1976 Vice-European champion. In 1969 Nogly joined together with Siegfried Beyer of the North regional league first FC Phönix Lübeck to Hamburg SV.
