Pupil of the Moscow "Spartak - He played four seasons for the first team (1972-1975). In connection with the military service, Minaev had to move to Dynamo, where he played for 9 years and ended his career in 1984. In 1976, Minaev collected a unique collection of awards: victory in the championship, the gold of the youth Euro and the bronze of the Olympics - all in one season!
